Vacation Bible School

July 20, 2009

Fellow Servants in the Lord,

Congratulations to all of you!
Your unselfish efforts demonstrated during the recently concluded first Vacation Bible School (VBS) on July 15-17, 2009 at JIL Scarborough Church to ensure its success has indeed bore good fruit. The honest, festive and cheerful remarks I heard directly from the children during the closing hour of the event about their excitement and happy experiences gained from that short but well arranged and organized program has greatly impressed and inspired me.

I hope that the children's testimonies will leave a very positive indelible imprints in the minds of the parents that sending their children to Vacation Bible School was never a waste of money because such experience has brought forth a very advantageous benefit. They were not only taught about the Bible lessons conducive to their age but also they were being led on how to hone up their natural talents like dancing, graphical sketches, verbal recitations, drama and other performing arts dynamics to help the children develop confidence as they grow up in expressing their ideas and abilities especially when performing in front of a big audience.

Aside from those indoor activities the children were also given the experience of an outdoor educational tour such as visiting the Metro Toronto Zoo to see many wild animals of the jungle and fishes of the deep sea. I look forward to a similar or even a greater exciting program of activities next year.

To all Children Coordinators, Volunteer Teachers and Assistants especially those who were present during the entire 3 days, I sincerely tip off my hat in admiration to all of you for your exceptional performance and hard work! Our God in heaven and His Angels have seen every moment of your passion and love for our children and support for our Church. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded (Heb. 10:35).
To God be the glory,

Ptr. Roy Montecillo
